Women<\/strong> published its annual report on the application of the recommendations <\/span>that resulted from the <strong>Beijing Platform of Action<\/strong> signed in 1995. The report underlines that there are progresses, with many countries that are putting in place mesures to encourage women&#8217;s participation in civic life and to protect their rights. <span class=\"subhead-a color-dark\"><strong>U.N.
