{"id":4035,"date":"2015-09-14T15:22:44","date_gmt":"2015-09-14T15:22:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hw54cbnnbb.preview.infomaniak.website\/publication\/gender-mapping-womens-social-entrepreneurship-in-europe\/"},"modified":"2015-09-14T15:22:44","modified_gmt":"2015-09-14T15:22:44","slug":"gender-mapping-womens-social-entrepreneurship-in-europe","status":"publish","type":"publication","link":"https:\/\/diversite-europe.eu\/en\/publication\/gender-mapping-womens-social-entrepreneurship-in-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Gender: Mapping Women\u2019s Social Entrepreneurship in Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Synthesis Report presents the findings of the <strong>WEstart study, the first research project on women&#8217;s social entrepreneurship in Europe, and <\/strong>presents a <strong>comparative analysis<\/strong> of the studied countries, along with <strong>recommendations <\/strong>for EU policy makers.<\/p>\n<p>Phase 1 of the WEstart study was <strong>undertaken by the European Women&#8217;s Lobby from 2014 to 2015<\/strong> and focuses on <strong>the state of play of women&#8217;s social entrepreneurship in 10 EU countries<\/strong>: Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WEstart clearly demonstrates the<strong> enormous potential of women\u2019s social entrepreneurship to contribute to socially impactful, sustainable revenue as well as job creation. <\/strong>These activities and their success are <strong>inherently empowering for women<\/strong> and <strong>contribute to gender equality on a societal level<\/strong>.
