Women are confronted on a daily basis to sexism on the streets, but men, and particulalry boyfriends, have usually a hard time picturing what this experience is for their women. Cosmopolitan, an US-based magazine, showed men footage of strangers catcalling their girlfriends while walking through New York City to help them picture the breadth of the problem.
The impact of catcalling is often underestimated, and raising awareness amongst men is a crucial step to the fight against sexism.
